Baumaschinentechnik GmbH

Company History

From Trading Company to No. 1 on Construction Sites

Today, Baumaschinentechnik (BMT) stands as the leading name on construction sites, with a long and successful company history. Founded in 1976 by the Perwein brothers in Feistritz an der Drau, the company started as a trading business specializing in undercarriages, wear parts, and spare parts for Caterpillar construction machinery.

Relocation to Villach

Just two and a half years after its establishment, the company relocated to Villach, where a repair workshop was added to its operations. In 1990, BMT moved to its current location, where a state-of-the-art facility was built. This expansion marked the beginning of professional manufacturing, including thousands of quick coupler systems, digging buckets, loading buckets, and various other accessories for all construction machinery brands represented in the European market.

Continuous Progress

What has remained unchanged over the years is the commitment to daily progress and quality improvement. With nearly 50 years of experience, Baumaschinentechnik represents excellence driven by a team of highly skilled specialists. This team produces a wide range of products, from self-designed and manufactured fully hydraulic quick coupler systems SW2-Q, SW3-Q and SW4-Q with oil and electro-quick functions for automatic connection to hydraulically controlled tools, to equipment for the wood and recycling industries, as well as various attachments for earthmoving machines.

Comprehensive Service

BMT also stands for custom-made special constructions, high-quality wear parts, and undercarriages, as well as the repair of all these components. Innovation, quality, and service are always the top priorities. This is how we continue to hold our position as the No. 1 on construction sites.
